AZ is winning matches again and in that case it's nice to see what odds are available in their matches. Tonight they face VVV in Venlo, not a really easy game to play. Although VVV is playing good at home, and only lost 1 match this season so far at home it's now time imo to take another loss. VVV's last match was horrible, losing away against Sparta.
Current champion AZ started disastrous this season, losing match after match. In the Champions League they weren't lucky either, beaten by last minutes goals against Olympiakos and Standard Liege. After the assignment of Dick Advocaat, AZ is playing better and better. This didn't result in points the first matches but after the away win against Feyenoord the confidence rised. Last weeks home win against Roda JC (2-0) was a match with really a lot of chances. With their quality in the team, especially in front I really see a good chance for AZ to take this one and get their three in a row win. After the loss of Heracles yesterday, a AZ win today will get them to the 5th place in the league. Another good motivation to win.

This odds are insane and should be 50-50. The value here is on NAC and I can´t resist to play this. NEC is having a strange time so far in this league, mostly coping with unsatisfied players. Today they will probably miss their most dangerous attacker Saidi. Without him the team is having difficulties scoring goals. NAC is only missing Leonardo but having far more quality in the team. Carnaval is coming up, an extra argument for NAC to get everything out of this match. Small stakes here.

Pick: Both teams to score: NO Result: 2-0 Stake: 5/10 Odds: 1.70 Bookmaker: Unibet vCash: No Posted: Feb 05, 2010, 06:44
As i analysed in my PSV (-2) pick, i really expect PSV to pull this one by three or more goals. When we look at both teams we see PSV operates from a closed defense (with an excellent goalie), which is contributed by the whole team. Very patiently the midfield and strikers await their changes. So when you're the oppositional attack, you must either have enourmous quality or creativity to break the solid block of midfielders, defenders and last but not least the goalie. Looking at Ado den Haag, we see Milic and Soltani up front, not particularly two goal machines. They didn't score in away games against two big clubs (Ajax and AZ) and they haven't scored in their last 3 away games. Pick both teams to score: NO, medium stakes.

Pick: Under 2.5 Result: 1-2 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 1.91 Bookmaker: William Hill vCash: No

When you play an under 2.5 you will need to have some good reasons for it, i do. These two teams are first of all really evenly matched. Looking back at the cup meeting some weeks ago (1-0 Feyenoord) we saw two teams who both could have won the game. What we also saw was a low pace, two solid defenses and a typical 'who scores the first goal will win this one' match. I see AZ playing the same as they did against Ajax and PSV away (both 1-0 losses) where the played very compact, so i see this one go under 2.5 goals.

Pick: Utrecht (+0.25) Result: 2-0 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 2.00 Bookmaker: 10bet vCash: No

It's almost unique but the home side will host their third(!) headcoach of the season tonight. This tells us enough about the Heerenveen shape, who are currently playing at the bottom of the table. Loosing by 3-1 against the little side VVV, must have been the last push manager de Jonge needed. On the other hand the visitors have been preforming well this season, making them especially stong in big matches at home. However after the winterbeak we saw them lose against Twente and PSV away, where the could have easily drew these two. In my opinion the line is wrong here, Utrecht should me small favorites, as the bookes calculate the possible shock-effect in Heerenveen. I see this one go in a draw at least. Big value on Utrecht +0.25.

Pick: Under 2.75 Result: 3-0 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 1.93 Bookmaker: 10bet vCash: No

Ajax is a real goal machine this season but they will host the real defensive side Twente. Very evenly matched this will be one of those matches which is going to be decided by one or two small details. Looking back at the first meeting of the two teams (1-0 Twente) we saw a real 0-0 match, however Ajax making only 1 mistake and Twente taking the points. Twente will be to afraid to lose this one in race of the title, so they won't take any risks at all and play very defensively. See this one to go under 2.75.

Pick: Heracles (+0) Result: 4-3 Stake: 3/10 Odds: 1.80 Bookmaker: 10bet vCash: No

Interesting encounter between Groningen and Heracles here. As we know, Heracles is especially strong at home where they play the artificial grass. As from this year they also started to take points on the road, leaving them at the top of the table. Midweeks they lost 2-0 away against Twente, however they showed the world this wasn't a fair result, as the played some really good football. Groningen on the other hand is playing better and better after a rough start this season, but they still have to find their real ideal formation because of all the injuries. Besides, Groningen is a real home-side.
As Heracles is only missing Fleddures, Groningen will miss important players like Pedersen, Svejdik, Andersson, de Roover and Lucius. Pick Heracles +0.

Nice odd as i really see this one won by the home side by three or more goals. Just comparing the two sides we see the home side who are solid title favourites, especially winning their home-matches from a closed defense. Ado is has never done anything spectaculair the last 10 years when the visited a big-home side. Mostly lost by big figures, this one will go by at least two goals, as PSV will want to give the visitors no impressionsthe can take anything here tonight. Ado really stuggling throughout this league, especially when they play away games. PSV will have regular midfielde Engelaas back, which is an important part of the midfield. Don't expect no suprises here, as PSV are much to solid to allow anything like that.

Pick: Feyenoord (-1) Result: 0-1 Stake: 2/10 Odds: 2.24 Bookmaker: 10bet vCash: Yes

Small pick here for Feyenoord -1 and I have my reasons. Since the cup-victory against PSV (0-3) confidence has been sky-high in Rotterdam. The fans expected they would take the three points against big rivals Ajax too, but after the draw everyone returned back to earth on sunday. Tomorrow Feyenoord will face RKC. Currently in last place RKC still finds it difficult to take points consitently, especially against 'big teams' points are easily thrown away. Feyenoord will only miss van Bronckhorst (de Cler will be a decent replacement) whereas RKC will only miss van Mosselveld due to a suspension. I see Feyenoord take this one by two or more goals.
So why small stakes? Midweek match, bad weather and this sunday defending champions AZ will visit the Kuip. So be cautious here!
